Heavy periods need not feel like a life sentence
When heavy bleeding (menorrhagia) and painful periods cause you to miss work or keep you from your favorite social activities, it’s time you visit the caring female physicians at ObGyn of East Brunswick. We can treat your problem and end your misery.
After a thorough exam, discussion of your symptoms and concerns plus any tests you need, we will discuss the various options available for correcting your condition. Treatment options include various medical and surgical options. The option we choose together will depend on the cause of your problem, your overall health and your personal preferences.
You don’t have to live with menorrhagia...
Not when there’s a simple solution like endometrial ablation available. Endometrial ablation safely removes the lining of the uterus without the need for hysterectomy or open surgery.
We perform this simple minimally invasive procedure on an outpatient basis and recovery time is minimal – patients are usually back to normal activities within a day or two. There are no incisions and discomfort is minimal enough to be managed with a non-prescription pain reliever.
Endometrial ablation is extremely effective. Most of our patients say their periods are shorter and lighter after treatment. For some patients, periods stop completely.
Endometrial ablation, however, is only right for women who are finished with childbearing. Once the uterine lining is removed, it cannot be replaced.
